OSP Uniform & Dress Code

For Everyone: Long hair must be pulled back and tightly secured. No gum, no jewelry. No bare bellies or legs please.

Level 1 classes and above: have a uniform that needs to be worn to class. This includes:

  • An OSP T-Shirt (purchase at the studio)

  • Tan Tights (We prefer no holes, or as minimal as possible)

  • Leotard (Any color for practice is fine, you will need a nude leotard for any performances)

  • Black Spandex Shorts

Combo Classes: We do not have a uniform or dress code in our combo classes, but we’d like them to be able to move comfortably. We’ve also found that tights or thin socks feel best in their dance shoes.

OSP Recommended Dance Shoes

To help keep our dancers consistent in class and on stage, dancers in Level 1 and above should follow OSP’s recommended shoe styles below.

Combo dancers will need black tap shoes and pink ballet shoes and may purchase them wherever they prefer or use our recommendations below.

Our recommended ballet shoes are available through our OSP Nimbly Dancewear Store. Please have your dancer sized at the studio before ordering ballet shoes, as sizing can vary.

Ballet Shoes:

For Jazz shoes, we recommend Bloch Phantom Stretch Canvas Jazz Shoes in Tan. These shoes can also often be found on Amazon.

Jazz Shoes:

Black tap shoes can be purchased through Nimbly, Amazon, or another dance retailer of your choice.

Tap Shoes:

For hip hop, we recommend a white, Keds-style lace-up tennis shoe with a clean bottom. This does NOT need to be name brand.

*Depending on the show, dancers may be asked to wear white or all-black shoes. Keds-style shoes can be purchased through Amazon or another retailer of your choice.

Hip Hop Shoes:

Competition dancers should check with their dance teacher before purchasing shoes. Your teacher will provide the specific shoe requirements for your competition team.

OSP Nimbly Dancewear Store

Please use our online studio store at Nimbly to purchase dancewear. If ordering shoes from our site, please make sure you have been sized for them at the studio beforehand as they do run very small.
